Trouble sleeping picks up another best film award
Theatre Workshop and Makar Productions film TROUBLE SLEEPING has won Best Fiction Feature at the 2008 Rockport Film Festival in Rockport, Texas. Following on from recent success at the BAFTA Scotland awards, where lead actress Alia Alzougbi was nominated for best actor, along side esteemed actors Robert Carlyle and Brian Cox, this is the films second best film award, the first coming from the Peace on Earth International Film Festival, in Chicago.
Throughout the year, Trouble Sleeping has also picked up a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award for Best New Work and has been chosen to appear at a number of other film festivals including Edinburgh International Film Festival, Southern Appalachian International Film Festival (Tennessee), Amnesty International India Film Festival where it will open the festival, and Cairo International Film Festival.
